No, experience is not required to begin the training. However, to be eligible to take the Yachtmaster Offshore exam, you must meet the regulatory sea time requirements.
To take the Yacht Skipper exam (JSM) you must: be at least 18 years old, document at least 200 hours of sea time gained on a minimum of two voyages (with voyage testimonials confirmed by the captain), register for the exam and pay the examination fee, present the required documents (including proof of identity and original voyage testimonials).
The cost of the exam is £350. — the fee is to be paid into the PZŻ account before taking the exam. After successfully passing it, payment is to be made £50 for patent issuance, also directly to the PZŻ account.
